A Personal Look Inside My Backyard Fish Pond with my Baby fish and everything else.
Inside my pond I have raised three Shubunkins and three Comets. All of these fish are of the Goldfish category if I am not mistaken… The Shubunkins are the ones in this video that are speckled and of a slightly blue tint. The Comets in this video are a range of orange and off white?
I am an Internet Marketer and I am changing things up a little bit today to get a more personal look into me. I just thought I would share a little bit of my friends that have the ability to live under water in my backyard pond.
In the included video you will see the second generation of baby fish that have recently come into my pond. The mother is the largest Shubunkin in the pond if you can pick her out as the one being chased around by the males? The males chase the females around when they are getting ready to plant more eggs into the pond, so they can fertilize them immediately. The females are usually the larger of these particular kinds of fish.
They will impart hundreds of eggs at different times during the season. The majority of these eggs and any babies that may make it into the pond at this time are usually eaten by the other fish in the pond if not separated from the main area of the pond. I managed to get these babies by moving a small plant covered with eggs into a bucket until they hatched. The baby fish in this video are about one month old now.
It if funny, because when they are first born, they are transparent and all you can really see if you concentrate are their eyes. Two black dots swimming around the bucket… If you look real close in this video, there is one little fish (babies are called frye) that is kind of white with two black eyes swimming around.
The first part of this video are of my baby fish and then the second part has the adult fish as they swim around the pond. Watch this video and I hope you enjoy my two generations of fish in my 200 gallon backyard pond. Check it out right here…
As you probably saw in the video, I have not gotten used to how clear my new Flip cam is. I keep seeing the reflection of myself and the camera in this video. LOL!
I hope you enjoyed my little interlude into my backyard pond and into a more personal part of my life. Be sure to leave your comments below and let me know if you liked my video and the side trip into my backyard fish pond…
